Artist Alma Borcuk will teach traditional Sumi-e and Chinese Brush painting.

"I love nature and so my paintings are drawn from nature - animals, flowers, natural landscapes. Among these subjects, cats and dogs are my favorite. I find dog expressions and cat poses quite fascinating and that's what I seek to capture in my art."

Artist Helga Batman-Koplin will teaches all levels how to oil paint.

EVERY WEDNESDAY - Oil & Acrylic Painting

This is an on-going class with one of our Gallery's most prestigious artists, Helga Batman-Koplin. With over 20 years of teaching, exhibiting, demonstrations, and jurying Helga teaches this class at the Community Arts Center class: "Enjoy the art of oil and acrylic painting".

For high school and up; $35 per class or by the month ($125 for 4- 3 hour lessons). Recommended materials list is available by calling or emailing Helga. Students will learn to produce a painting from beginning to end, from lay out and mixing colors to finish! Contact or call: 909-336-5785

The Mountain Arts Photographic Society (MAPS)
1st WEDNESDAY NIGHT: The Mountain Arts Photographic Society (MAPS) meets the first Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to about 8:00 PM in the CAC.
The first hour covers MAPS events and features an educational presentation on a photography topic of interest.

Each month a photography challenge is given. The second hour gives MAPS members an opportunity to share their challenge photographs with the group. Constructive comments and suggestions facilitate skill development and personal growth. The challenge for July is "July Fun". Note that the Special Olympics are coming to the Arrowhead Communities July 21-24 and will offer many wonderful photographic opportunities.
